Replacing Natural Sand
Traditionally, sand has been sourced from natural environments such as coastlines and riverbanks. Due to the environmental impact of these practices and the scarcity of suitable locations, restrictions have become increasingly stringent.
Markets without access to suitable natural sand, intriguingly like Dubai, have successfully used manufactured sand for major construction projects including highways and skyscrapers. In contrast, New Zealand has been slow to adopt manufactured sand widely, indicating a significant opportunity in this area.
Responding to the escalating demand for manufactured sand, the Pilot Modular VSI (Vertical Shaft Impactor) range offers an efficient solution for sand processing operations, enhancing both the shape and quality of aggregates.
Since its debut in 2021, the Pilot Modular VS100 has gained notable traction in New Zealand and the Pacific Islands, with five units delivered in the first two years. These machines are primarily used in hard rock quarrying and sand processing applications. The manufactured sand produced by VS100s are successfully being used in various sectors including asphalt production and the production of high-quality and certified concrete.
Crusher Sizes Ranging from 100tph to 350tph
The latest in the series, the Twister VS100, VS200 and VS350, are robust, skid-mounted vertical shaft impact crushers designed for tertiary and quaternary crushing applications. The VS100, powered by a 110kW, 4 pole motor, achieves throughputs up to 110tph and handles a maximum feed size of 40mm. For higher capacity needs, the VS350 accommodates 60-120mm feed sizes with its 315KW motor, achieving up to 350tph.
For operations requiring enhanced mobility, the Twistertrak VS350E offers a tracked alternative with the same capabilities.
Low Cost and Simple Modular Setup
Each Modular VSI unit includes a skid structure, walkway, jib crane, and hydraulic lid lifting mechanism, requiring no special site preparations and can be operational within hours of installation. These features, combined with low initial costs, minimal maintenance requirements, and easy operation, make the VSI range an attractive choice for businesses.
The VSI range is particularly attractive due to its low investment capital, minimal maintenance costs, and ease of installation and operation. This combination not only reduces the financial barrier to entry but also simplifies ongoing operational processes with no costly surprises. Sanland Equipment also ensures high uptime by maintaining a substantial inventory of wear and spare parts, along with major components like complete rotor and bearing sub-assemblies. This readiness is crucial for quick replacements in case of major equipment failures.
Complete Sand Making and Washing Plants
In addition to VSI crushers, Sanland Equipment offers a full range of sand processing needs with a variety of supplementary machines, including conveyor systems, sand washers, filter presses, dewatering screens, and additional primary crushers.
